Rapid Glass ATX LLC 

Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystals (PDLC) Warranty

Thank you for your interest in the products and services of Rapid Glass ATX LLC. This Limited Warranty applies to physical goods, and only for physical goods, purchased and installed by Rapid Glass ATX LLC. This includes:

  • PDLC Smart Film

  • Electrical Components (including transformers, smart home conversion kits, control systems, and wiring)

  • Window Trim and Installation Accessories

1. Warranty Period

This warranty is valid for a period of 5 years from the date of installation.

2. Coverage

This warranty covers:

a. Defects in Materials and Workmanship:

We warrant that our PDLC Smart Film, electrical components, and window trim are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service.

b. Performance Assurance:

Our Smart Film is guaranteed to maintain its specified performance characteristics throughout the warranty period, including optical clarity, switching speed, and durability under normal operating conditions.

c. Adhesive Performance:

The adhesive used in our PDLC Smart Film is guaranteed to adhere effectively to the specified surfaces for the duration of the warranty, ensuring proper functionality and longevity.

d. Electrical Components:

We warrant the proper functioning of all electrical components, including control systems, transformers, smart home kits, and wiring.

e. Window Trim and Accessories:

We warrant that window trim and accessories installed by Rapid Glass ATX LLC will remain free from defects in materials and workmanship during the warranty period.

3. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

a. Misuse and Improper Installation:

Any installation not performed by Rapid Glass ATX LLC or its authorized installers, or failure to follow provided installation guidelines, will void the warranty.

b. Aftercare Non-Compliance:

Failure to follow the instructions provided in the Aftercare Guide will void this warranty. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Leaving the film in transparent (ON) mode for longer than 36 consecutive hours

  • Cleaning the Smart Film with any substance other than 99% isopropyl alcohol

  • Using abrasive or unapproved cleaning materials

c. Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs:

Any modifications or repairs performed by non-authorized personnel will void this warranty.

d. Acts of Nature or External Causes:

Damages resulting from natural disasters, accidents, vandalism, or other external forces beyond our control.

e. Environmental Conditions:

Damage caused by exposure to environmental factors beyond the recommended limits (as outlined in the product specifications), including excessive heat, cold, humidity, or corrosive substances.

f. Third-Party Accessories:

Damages or malfunctions caused by the use of non-approved accessories, power supplies, or control systems.

4. Claim Procedure

To submit a warranty claim:

a. Provide proof of purchase and installation date, including the order number.

b. Notify Rapid Glass ATX LLC within a reasonable timeframe upon discovery of the defect.

c. Schedule an inspection by Rapid Glass ATX’s authorized technicians or complete remote diagnostic procedures as directed.

5. Remedy

Upon validation of a warranty claim, Rapid Glass ATX LLC will, at its discretion:

a. Repair the defective product using genuine replacement parts.

b. Replace the defective product with a new or equivalent product.

c. Refund the original purchase price.

If the specific product is no longer available, an equivalent product of equal or greater value will be provided.

6. Limitation of Liability

Our liability under this warranty is limited exclusively to the repair, replacement, or refund of the defective product. Rapid Glass ATX LLC shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or special damages resulting from the use or inability to use the product.

7. Technical Support

Customers are entitled to technical support services throughout the warranty period, including assistance with troubleshooting, installation advice, and software/firmware updates for smart home integration components.

8. Transferability

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the product at the original installation address.

9. Disclaimer

This warranty constitutes the sole and exclusive warranty for PDLC Smart Film and related electrical components supplied by Rapid Glass ATX LLC, and is in lieu of any other warranties, whether express or implied.



Rapid Glass ATX LLC 

Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: 22 April 2025

1. Cancellation Deadline

1.1. Cancellation requests must be submitted to Rapid Glass ATX customer service no later than 24 hours after paying the deposit.

2. Refund Policy

2.1. If a cancellation request is received within the specified cancellation deadline, a full refund will be issued to the customer within 5 to 7 business days.

2.2. If a cancellation request is received after the specified cancellation deadline, no refund of the deposit will be issued.

2.3. For custom orders or projects where materials have been specially ordered, cut, or prepared, any non-recoverable costs incurred by Rapid Glass ATX LLC prior to cancellation will be deducted from the refund amount, even if the cancellation request is within the 24-hour window. Customers will be notified of such deductions prior to processing the refund.

3. Deposit Terms

3.1. A deposit is required to secure all bookings and will be applied toward the total cost of the service. The deposit amount will be communicated at the time of booking.

3.2. Deposits are non-refundable after the 24-hour cancellation window, except in cases outlined under Section 4 (Force Majeure) or at the discretion of Rapid Glass ATX LLC.

4. Rescheduling

4.1. Customers may request to reschedule their installation, subject to availability. A rescheduling fee may apply.

5. Force Majeure

5.1. In the event that a customer is unable to fulfill their obligations under this agreement due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other unforeseen events (“Force Majeure Events”), the customer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the installation without liability. In such cases, a full refund or rescheduling option will be provided, subject to availability.

6. No-Show Policy

6.1. If a customer fails to show up for a scheduled service without providing prior notice and does not contact Rapid Glass ATX LLC, no refund will be issued, and a rescheduling fee will be added to the final purchasing price.

7. Termination by Rapid Glass ATX LLC

7.1. Rapid Glass ATX LLC reserves the right to terminate this agreement and cancel the service at any time due to non-compliance with the terms and conditions outlined herein or for any other valid reason. In such cases, a refund may be issued at the discretion of Rapid Glass ATX LLC.

8. Travel Fee

8.1. A $125 travel fee will be applied to any service address located 30 miles or more from Rapid Glass ATX’s store at 9901 N Capitol of TX HWY, Unit 220, Austin, TX 78759.

8.2 This fee will be deducted from your total cost after successfully purchasing Smart Film. 

8.3. This fee will be communicated to the customer prior to confirming the booking and is non-refundable once the appointment is confirmed.

9. Refund Method

9.1. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the deposit, unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties in writing.

11. Changes to the Cancellation Policy

11.1. Rapid Glass ATX LLC reserves the right to modify or update this cancellation policy at any time. Customers will be notified of any changes through the contact information provided at the time of booking.

1. General Return Policy

We understand that customer satisfaction is important, and our return policy is designed to provide a fair and transparent process. Due to the custom nature of PDLC Smart Film, returns are limited to specific situations outlined below.

2. Return Period

Customers may request a return within 7 days from the date of installation.

3. Return Eligibility

Returns will only be accepted for the following reasons:

a. Defective Product at Installation:

If the PDLC Smart Film is found to be defective at the time of installation or develops a qualifying defect within the 7-day return period. Defects include:

  • Persistent flickering

  • Bubbles, scratches, or cuts greater than ¼ inch upon installation

  • Separation of the film from the window

  • Non-functioning or faulty electrical components

b. Shipping Damage (Prior to Installation):

If the product arrives with visible damage before installation.

c. Electrical Safety Issue:

If our Smart Film or related components cause verified electrical issues in your home or business.

4. Ineligibility for Returns

Returns will not be accepted under the following circumstances:

  • Change of Mind: We do not accept returns if the customer no longer wants the product after purchase or installation.

  • Installed Product: Once the PDLC Smart Film is installed, it cannot be removed and resold due to its adhesive nature. Returns are only considered if the product meets the defect conditions listed in Section 3.

  • Failure to Follow Installation and Aftercare Guidelines: Any product damaged as a result of improper installation (if not performed by Rapid Glass ATX LLC) or failure to follow our Aftercare Guide (such as leaving the film ON for more than 36 consecutive hours or using unapproved cleaning products) is ineligible for return or refund.

  • Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs: Any modifications or attempted repairs by non-authorized personnel void eligibility.

  • Acts of Nature, Accidents, or External Causes: Damage due to factors outside our control.

  • Use of Third-Party Accessories: Any malfunction caused by unapproved accessories or systems.

5. Return Procedure

To initiate a return:

a. Contact Rapid Glass ATX LLC Customer Support at support@rapidglassatx.com with your order number to request a Return Authorization (RA) number.

b. Provide proof of purchase and installation date.

c. If eligible, instructions will be provided. If the film is already installed, a Rapid Glass ATX technician will inspect the issue on-site to verify eligibility. Installed Smart Film cannot be returned unless covered under the warranty.

6. Return Shipping (For Uninstalled Product Only)

Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping for uninstalled, unopened products. Ship to:

7. Inspection and Approval

Returned products (or on-site claims) will be inspected to confirm eligibility for refund or replacement. Approval is contingent upon the product meeting the criteria in Section 3.

If approved, the customer may choose a:

  • Refund of the original purchase price (excluding installation and travel fees)

  • Replacement product (if available)

If the product is no longer available, an equivalent item of equal or greater value will be provided.

9. Installed Products and Warranty

Once the PDLC Smart Film is installed, it cannot be returned for a refund except as covered under the Limited Warranty. Refer to your warranty documentation for coverage terms.
