Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystals (PDLC) Warranty

Warranty Coverage
Rapid Glass ATX LLC (“Rapid Glass ATX,” “we,” or “our”) provides a five (5) year limited warranty from the date of installation on all Smart Film products and related components supplied and installed by Rapid Glass ATX LLC.
This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, including parts and reasonable on-site labor/diagnostics, for approved claims made within the warranty period.Scope of Coverage
This warranty applies to installations performed directly by Rapid Glass ATX LLC and includes the following:
PDLC Smart Film Panels — Coverage for manufacturer defects including delamination, internal electrical failure, or degradation of the film’s switching capability.
Adhesive Bonding & Lamination — Coverage for peeling, bubbling, or failure of the adhesive layer when properly maintained and used under normal environmental conditions.
Controllers, Transformers & Power Supplies — Coverage for manufacturing or electrical defects that prevent proper power regulation or operation of the Smart Film system.
Switches, Remotes, and Control Wiring — Coverage for installation-related wiring defects, faulty switches, or communication errors between controllers and Smart Film panels.
Workmanship — Coverage for improper installation methods, poor adhesion, incorrect wiring, or other workmanship-related issues caused by Rapid Glass ATX LLC or its authorized installers.
Labor coverage applies to warranty service within 30 miles of our showroom located at:

Service beyond this radius may incur additional travel or service fees.
Filing a Claim
To file a warranty claim, please contact Rapid Glass ATX LLC by email at support@rapidglassatx.com or call 512.222.7369.

Photos or video evidence (if available)
A technician may be dispatched for inspection to verify eligibility under this warranty.
Service Response Timeline
Rapid Glass ATX LLC will acknowledge receipt of warranty claims within 2 business days and, when applicable, schedule a diagnostic inspection within 10 business days, subject to part availability and technician scheduling.Warranty Remedies
If a covered defect is confirmed, Rapid Glass ATX LLC will, at its discretion:
Repair the affected component(s), or Replace the defective materials with new or refurbished components of equal or better quality. If an identical replacement is unavailable, a pro-rated credit may be issued toward a comparable product or upgrade.
All replaced components become the property of Rapid Glass ATX LLC.Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
Physical damage due to impact, scratching, or vandalism.Power surges, lightning strikes, or electrical misuse.
Damage from fire, flood, or other natural disasters.
Improper electrical connections or non-compliant wiring by third parties.
Normal optical characteristics of PDLC Smart Film (such as minor haze, banding, or viewing angle variance).
Damage from failure to follow provided cleaning or care instructions.
Modifications, tampering, or repairs not performed or authorized by Rapid Glass ATX LLC.
Installation on glass or surfaces with defects, contaminants, or coatings that affect adhesion.
Transferability
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and installation address. It is non-transferable and void if the film or components are moved, removed, or reinstalled elsewhere.Limitation of Liability
Rapid Glass ATX LLC’s liability under this warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of defective components as stated herein. We are not liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, downtime, or damage to other property.Warranty Service Area

Cancellation Policy

Purpose
This policy outlines the fees and conditions for scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling consultations and installation appointments with Rapid Glass LLC (“Rapid Glass ATX”).Consultation Fees
All consultation appointments are subject to the following fees based on distance from our showroom located at:

Inside 30 Miles: $50
Outside 30 Miles: $125
Your consultation fee is deducted from your Smart Film purchase if you proceed with an order.
Booking & Travel Fees
Once a consultation or installation is scheduled, a booking/travel fee is required to confirm your appointment:$50 for locations within 30 miles
$125 for locations beyond 30 miles
This fee is non-refundable once your appointment is confirmed, as it reserves technician time and travel routing.
Rescheduling & Cancellation
24 Hours or More Notice: You may reschedule one time at no additional charge. Fees already paid will carry forward. Additional reschedules may incur new fees.
Less Than 24 Hours’ Notice: Consultation and booking/travel fees are not refundable. A new appointment will require new fees.
No-Shows & Access Issues
If our team arrives and cannot access the property due to locked premises, unsafe conditions, or interference from other trades, the visit may be treated as a late cancellation, and applicable fees will apply.Company Cancellations
Rapid Glass LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any appointment if required by law, unsafe site conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control. Customers will be promptly notified and given priority to reschedule.Force Majeure
Delays or cancellations due to severe weather, road closures, illness, or other events beyond either party’s control may be rescheduled without penalty. Any custom materials already fabricated will remain chargeable.Policy Updates

Refund Policy

Purpose
This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which Rapid Glass ATX LLC (“Rapid Glass ATX,” “we,” or “our”) may issue refunds for Smart Film products, accessories, and related services. Because each Smart Film panel is custom-cut to the client’s exact specifications, refunds are limited to specific qualifying circumstances.Non-Refundable Items
Due to the custom nature of our products, the following items and services are non-refundable once production or installation has begun:Custom-cut Smart Film panels made to order.
Installed Smart Film or components that have been applied to glass or wired to power.
Controllers, transformers, switches, or wiring that have been installed or energized.
Consultation and booking/travel fees (as detailed in our Cancellation Policy).
Each panel is uniquely fabricated for the dimensions and design of your project and cannot be reused, resold, or repurposed once cutting or lamination begins.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds are only issued under the following conditions:Cancellation Before Production – Orders canceled prior to fabrication or cutting may be eligible for a partial refund, less any design, administrative, or processing fees.
Company Error – If Rapid Glass ATX manufactures or delivers a product that does not match approved specifications, we will remake or credit the affected material at no additional cost.
Defective Product (Prior to Installation) – If a product is found to be defective before installation (e.g., damaged in transit, electrical fault on arrival), we will repair, replace, or issue a refund after inspection and verification.
Force Majeure or Company Cancellation – If Rapid Glass ATX cancels an order due to unforeseen circumstances, customers will receive a full refund for unproduced materials or unperformed services.
Refund Exclusions
Refunds will not be issued for:Measurement errors provided by the customer.
Color or transparency variations within manufacturer tolerances.
Installation issues caused by third-party contractors or improper site preparation.
Damage caused by electrical issues, impact, or misuse after installation.
Orders placed with incomplete or incorrect measurements once fabrication has started.
Third-party electrical work — Since Rapid Glass ATX partners with independent, licensed electricians for high-voltage connections, any portion of the project already completed by these third-party professionals is non-refundable once their work has been performed or materials have been purchased.
Post-Installation Approval
Upon completion of installation, your assigned Sales Representative will either:
Conduct an in-person walk-through of the site with you, or reach out by phone or email to confirm that the installation meets expectations.
Once this confirmation has occurred — whether in person or by written or verbal acknowledgment — the installation is deemed complete and accepted.
After acceptance, Rapid Glass ATX LLC is not responsible for damages or defects caused by external factors, including cleaning solutions, physical impact, new construction work, or environmental exposure occurring after installation.
Inspection Period
Customers are encouraged to inspect the completed installation immediately.
Any concerns or visible issues must be reported to support@rapidglassatx.com within 48 hours of completion.
After this period, all service inquiries will be processed under the Installation Warranty, not as refund requests.No Refunds After Order Confirmation
Because all Smart Film is custom-cut and fabricated to order, no refunds will be issued after the customer has confirmed order specifications or production has begun.
By confirming your order and measurements, you acknowledge that the product is being produced specifically for your project and cannot be canceled or refunded once fabrication starts.Product Preference / Removal Fee
If you decide that you no longer want the Smart Film after installation for reasons unrelated to product performance, workmanship, or any fault of Rapid Glass ATX, we can remove the film upon request.
Removal will incur a service fee based on the location and total square footage of installed film. This fee covers technician time, travel, and proper material disposal.
All removal appointments must be scheduled and prepaid before service.Company Discretion for Goodwill Adjustments
Rapid Glass ATX LLC reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to issue partial credits, replacements, or goodwill adjustments outside of this policy when deemed appropriate by management.Refund Process

Reason for refund request.
Supporting photos or documentation (if applicable).
Refunds, once approved, are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days, unless otherwise stated.
Shipping and Handling
Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the refund is due to an error by Rapid Glass ATX.
In cases of replacement shipments, Rapid Glass ATX will cover the outbound shipping cost for the corrected product.Warranty Reference

Thank you for your interest in the products and services of Rapid Glass ATX LLC. This Limited Warranty applies to physical goods, and only for physical goods, purchased and installed by Rapid Glass ATX LLC. This includes:
PDLC Smart Film
Electrical Components (including transformers, smart home conversion kits, control systems, and wiring)
Window Trim and Installation Accessories
1. Warranty Period
This warranty is valid for a period of 5 years from the date of installation.
2. Coverage
This warranty covers:
a. Defects in Materials and Workmanship:
We warrant that our PDLC Smart Film, electrical components, and window trim are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service.
b. Performance Assurance:
Our Smart Film is guaranteed to maintain its specified performance characteristics throughout the warranty period, including optical clarity, switching speed, and durability under normal operating conditions.
c. Adhesive Performance:
The adhesive used in our PDLC Smart Film is guaranteed to adhere effectively to the specified surfaces for the duration of the warranty, ensuring proper functionality and longevity.
d. Electrical Components:
We warrant the proper functioning of all electrical components, including control systems, transformers, smart home kits, and wiring.
e. Window Trim and Accessories:
We warrant that window trim and accessories installed by Rapid Glass ATX LLC will remain free from defects in materials and workmanship during the warranty period.
3. Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
a. Misuse and Improper Installation:
Any installation not performed by Rapid Glass ATX LLC or its authorized installers, or failure to follow provided installation guidelines, will void the warranty.
b. Aftercare Non-Compliance:
Failure to follow the instructions provided in the Aftercare Guide will void this warranty. This includes but is not limited to:
Leaving the film in transparent (ON) mode for longer than 36 consecutive hours
Cleaning the Smart Film with any substance other than 99% isopropyl alcohol
Using abrasive or unapproved cleaning materials
c. Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs:
Any modifications or repairs performed by non-authorized personnel will void this warranty.
d. Acts of Nature or External Causes:
Damages resulting from natural disasters, accidents, vandalism, or other external forces beyond our control.
e. Environmental Conditions:
Damage caused by exposure to environmental factors beyond the recommended limits (as outlined in the product specifications), including excessive heat, cold, humidity, or corrosive substances.
f. Third-Party Accessories:
Damages or malfunctions caused by the use of non-approved accessories, power supplies, or control systems.
4. Claim Procedure
To submit a warranty claim:
a. Provide proof of purchase and installation date, including the order number.
b. Notify Rapid Glass ATX LLC within a reasonable timeframe upon discovery of the defect.
c. Schedule an inspection by Rapid Glass ATX’s authorized technicians or complete remote diagnostic procedures as directed.
5. Remedy
Upon validation of a warranty claim, Rapid Glass ATX LLC will, at its discretion:
a. Repair the defective product using genuine replacement parts.
b. Replace the defective product with a new or equivalent product.
c. Refund the original purchase price.
If the specific product is no longer available, an equivalent product of equal or greater value will be provided.
6. Limitation of Liability
Our liability under this warranty is limited exclusively to the repair, replacement, or refund of the defective product. Rapid Glass ATX LLC shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or special damages resulting from the use or inability to use the product.
7. Technical Support
Customers are entitled to technical support services throughout the warranty period, including assistance with troubleshooting, installation advice, and software/firmware updates for smart home integration components.
8. Transferability
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the product at the original installation address.
9. Disclaimer
This warranty constitutes the sole and exclusive warranty for PDLC Smart Film and related electrical components supplied by Rapid Glass ATX LLC, and is in lieu of any other warranties, whether express or implied.

Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellation Deadline
1.1. Cancellation requests must be submitted to Rapid Glass ATX customer service no later than 24 hours after paying the deposit.
2. Refund Policy
2.1. If a cancellation request is received within the specified cancellation deadline, a full refund will be issued to the customer within 5 to 7 business days.
2.2. If a cancellation request is received after the specified cancellation deadline, no refund of the deposit will be issued.
2.3. For custom orders or projects where materials have been specially ordered, cut, or prepared, any non-recoverable costs incurred by Rapid Glass ATX LLC prior to cancellation will be deducted from the refund amount, even if the cancellation request is within the 24-hour window. Customers will be notified of such deductions prior to processing the refund.
3. Deposit Terms
3.1. A deposit is required to secure all bookings and will be applied toward the total cost of the service. The deposit amount will be communicated at the time of booking.
3.2. Deposits are non-refundable after the 24-hour cancellation window, except in cases outlined under Section 4 (Force Majeure) or at the discretion of Rapid Glass ATX LLC.
4. Rescheduling
4.1. Customers may request to reschedule their installation, subject to availability. A rescheduling fee may apply.
5. Force Majeure
5.1. In the event that a customer is unable to fulfill their obligations under this agreement due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other unforeseen events (“Force Majeure Events”), the customer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the installation without liability. In such cases, a full refund or rescheduling option will be provided, subject to availability.
6. No-Show Policy
6.1. If a customer fails to show up for a scheduled service without providing prior notice and does not contact Rapid Glass ATX LLC, no refund will be issued, and a rescheduling fee will be added to the final purchasing price.
7. Termination by Rapid Glass ATX LLC
7.1. Rapid Glass ATX LLC reserves the right to terminate this agreement and cancel the service at any time due to non-compliance with the terms and conditions outlined herein or for any other valid reason. In such cases, a refund may be issued at the discretion of Rapid Glass ATX LLC.
8. Travel Fee
8.1. A $125 travel fee will be applied to any service address located 30 miles or more from Rapid Glass ATX’s store at 9901 N Capitol of TX HWY, Unit 220, Austin, TX 78759.
8.2 This fee will be deducted from your total cost after successfully purchasing Smart Film.
8.3. This fee will be communicated to the customer prior to confirming the booking and is non-refundable once the appointment is confirmed.
9. Refund Method
9.1. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the deposit, unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties in writing.

11. Changes to the Cancellation Policy

Return Policy

1. General Return Policy
We understand that customer satisfaction is important, and our return policy is designed to provide a fair and transparent process. Due to the custom nature of PDLC Smart Film, returns are limited to specific situations outlined below.
2. Return Period
Customers may request a return within 7 days from the date of installation.
3. Return Eligibility
Returns will only be accepted for the following reasons:
a. Defective Product at Installation:
If the PDLC Smart Film is found to be defective at the time of installation or develops a qualifying defect within the 7-day return period. Defects include:
Persistent flickering
Bubbles, scratches, or cuts greater than ¼ inch upon installation
Separation of the film from the window
Non-functioning or faulty electrical components
b. Shipping Damage (Prior to Installation):
If the product arrives with visible damage before installation.
c. Electrical Safety Issue:
If our Smart Film or related components cause verified electrical issues in your home or business.
4. Ineligibility for Returns
Returns will not be accepted under the following circumstances:
Change of Mind: We do not accept returns if the customer no longer wants the product after purchase or installation.
Installed Product: Once the PDLC Smart Film is installed, it cannot be removed and resold due to its adhesive nature. Returns are only considered if the product meets the defect conditions listed in Section 3.
Failure to Follow Installation and Aftercare Guidelines: Any product damaged as a result of improper installation (if not performed by Rapid Glass ATX LLC) or failure to follow our Aftercare Guide (such as leaving the film ON for more than 36 consecutive hours or using unapproved cleaning products) is ineligible for return or refund.
Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs: Any modifications or attempted repairs by non-authorized personnel void eligibility.
Acts of Nature, Accidents, or External Causes: Damage due to factors outside our control.
Use of Third-Party Accessories: Any malfunction caused by unapproved accessories or systems.
5. Return Procedure
To initiate a return:
a. Contact Rapid Glass ATX LLC Customer Support at support@rapidglassatx.com with your order number to request a Return Authorization (RA) number.
b. Provide proof of purchase and installation date.
c. If eligible, instructions will be provided. If the film is already installed, a Rapid Glass ATX technician will inspect the issue on-site to verify eligibility. Installed Smart Film cannot be returned unless covered under the warranty.
6. Return Shipping (For Uninstalled Product Only)

7. Inspection and Approval

8. Refund or Replacement
If approved, the customer may choose a:
Refund of the original purchase price (excluding installation and travel fees)
Replacement product (if available)
If the product is no longer available, an equivalent item of equal or greater value will be provided.
9. Installed Products and Warranty
Once the PDLC Smart Film is installed, it cannot be returned for a refund except as covered under the Limited Warranty. Refer to your warranty documentation for coverage terms.
